Explore Australia’s most remote landscapes in comfort with our fully equipped Toyota Prado campers. Designed for couples or small groups, these vehicles combine genuine off-road capability with a refined, ready-to-go camping setup so you can travel further with confidence and ease.
Each Prado is fitted with a hard-shell rooftop tent, awning and a complete camp kitchen, meaning you can pull up and be set within minutes. A long-range fuel tank, all-terrain tyres and high/low range 4WD allow you to comfortably tackle remote tracks, while the dual battery system keeps your fridge and devices powered off-grid.
Inside, you’ll find a spacious, air-conditioned cabin with Bluetooth connectivity and USB charging, making long drives feel effortless. Safety is front of mind, with features including a bull bar, UHF radio, reversing camera, emergency beacon and a full recovery kit.
Everything has been thoughtfully included - from quality bedding and lighting to a fully stocked kitchen setup - so you can focus on the experience, not the logistics.

Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes. Please refer to the terms of your rental agreement for this information.

What time can I pick up/drop off my vehicle?
Vehicle collection is by appointment only. All vehicles must be returned before 5pm on your drop-off day.
Is there an age restriction for hiring a 4WD?
Yes. All drivers need to be 21 years old or older.
What if I return the vehicle late?
Late returns may incur additional fees. Always call us if you’re delayed - we’ll work with you where we can.
Will I need to pay a bond to hire a 4WD?
Yes. Please refer to the terms of your rental agreement for this information.
Can I be picked up from the airport in the event I'm flying in, not driving?
Some locations may offer an airport pick-up, depending on availability. Please speak to our reservations team to enquire about current options at your destination.
Is insurance included?
Yes — Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurance is included. Your excess amount may vary depending on your location and the excess cover option you choose.

Do I need to bring my own camping equipment?
You don’t have to bring your own gear — but you’re welcome to if you prefer.
Our Comfort and Premium Explorer vehicles come fully equipped with everything you need for camping, at no extra cost.
For our Beach Cruiser range (Rainbow Beach) packages are priced based on group size:
$30 per day for 1–2 people
$60 per day for 3–4 people
$75 per day for 5–6 people
Do I need to clean the vehicle before returning it?
Vehicles must be returned in a reasonably clean condition. An additional cleaning fee of up to $100 may apply if extra cleaning is required.
For our Beach Cruiser range (Rainbow Beach), an underbody wash is required before returning the vehicle.
Is there a minimum period for hiring a vehicle?
The minimum rental period varies by location and route.
Rainbow Beach / K’gari: Minimum 1 day, subject to tide conditions. Single-day hires may be unavailable during peak periods such as school holidays and long weekends.
All other locations:
Same-location returns: Minimum 5-day hire.
One-way hires: Minimum 2 weeks, with some longer routes (e.g. Cairns to Perth) requiring more time.

What type of drivers license do I need?
All drivers of the vehicle must hold a current drivers licence and have had that licence for more than two years.
Do your vehicles come with Starlink internet?
Toyota Hilux Campers:
Our Premium Explorer 4WD Toyota Hilux Campers come with Starlink internet included as standard. Each vehicle includes 50GB of data to get you started, perfect for staying connected off-grid.
If you need more data during your trip, just get in touch! We’re happy to top up your Starlink data, we’ll simply charge the card on file.
Toyota Prado Campers:
No, Starlink is not available in our Comfort 4WD Toyota Prado 150 Series Campers. Unfortunately, we do not offer internet connectivity for these vehicles at this time.
